Rite of Passage
The postpartum experience is a rite of passage; a means of transformation for an entire family. This experience is deeply impactful, as it sets the tone for the journey of parenthood. The significance of bringing life into the world has been reduced in Western culture, leaving many parents hungry for the support they deeply deserve. Learn to awaken your deepest desires for this tender phase of life, and weave tenderness and nourishment into the tapestry of your postpartum support network. Learn to navigate communal support in the most optimal way for you, while centering yourself and your precious family throughout the entire experience. The time to integrate a better way of supporting one another into human culture, is now.
The First Moments
Unlike most postpartum education courses, our material begins in stage three of labor, before the placenta is born. We offer an incredibly detailed grounding on the immediate postpartum stage, illustrating evidence based information on topics such as delayed cord clamping, delayed bathing, skin to skin, latching and more. We illustrate the physiological process of the third stage, and how to promote the most optimal environment for your internal mechanisms to work, perfectly. Learn tools for delivering your placenta and explore options for placenta processing, storing or consuming.
Evidence Based Education
Peaceful Birth Method is geared towards supporting parents in sharing an autonomous relationship with their support network, and empowering them to make choices in alignment with their unique family values. We illustrate current evidence based information to support you in making informed choices for yourself and your baby. We discuss the rights to autonomy and privacy for you and your newborn, and illustrate the risks and benefits of many medical interventions available for your baby in their first days of life. We cover vitamin k, antibiotic eye ointment and hepatitis B.
Dismantle Your Fears
Some may find the decision making process to be overwhelming, as there is so much to learn and consider when making choices for our little ones. This course offers a groundbreaking methodology in choosing from love, rather than fear, to maintain clarity and confidence throughout any decision making process. These tools will support not only the postpartum phase, but the entire partnering journey as well. Discover how to dismantle any fears or barriers that may be holding you back from actualizing clarity and choosing from love, with ease. You have the power to make choices that honor your unique needs and support your transition into life with a little one.
Newborn Care
This course offers a step by step roadmap to support you in integrating into life with your newborn from a foundation of wholeness, confidence and joy. I have been in love with birth since I can remember. Witnessing the births of my siblings instilled a deep inspiration to pursue birth work from a young age. I feel continuously humbled by the magnificence of reproduction, by the power and intelligence woven within the source of our existence. The experience of birthing my own daughter into the world solidified my heart’s highest wish; to become a guardian of the birthing space. As a birth doula, childbirth educator and student midwife, I have been joyfully supporting women and all people bringing life into the world for over a decade.
My intention is never to instruct, dictate or bestow my personal beliefs upon others, rather, I strive to encourage the authentic expression of labor and hold space in alignment with the family’s highest values. Rather than viewing birth as merely a medical event, I perceive it to be a celebration of life, a rite of passage and a powerful moment of transformation for an entire family. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share years of collected knowledge with birthing families, to walk alongside their journey in the most supportive way possible.
